Survey and 3D Modelling
Surveying involves taking detailed measurements of the site for reference during the design. The framework of the garden is then plotted to scale in a 3D CAD model so the design can be refined before work begins. This is where most of the creative work happens and the main challenges within the design are solved. The aim is to establish a balance between function, aesthetics and budget.
Design Detailing
It’s super important to have a clear understanding of the likely costs involved with implementing your design. To-whit, we invite a trusted contractor(s) to come to the site, evaluate the job and provide a written guideline estimate for us to review. This helps to clarify details, costs and provides additional accountability.
Planting and Sundries
We’ve all watched enough Grand Designs to feel a bit style-y and confident in what we want in a home and garden. If you’d like to have a hand in selections of plants, accessories, lighting or other garden elements we would love to have you along for the ride. We can discuss options, sketch ideas and even take a walk around a nursery!
Design Management
If your cousin Jimmy knows a thing or two about construction or landscaping and is happy to give the old *wink wink* mates rates, our design management service could be the right fit for you. Our team will provide the initial design and concept drawing, but you hire your own contractors to complete the build elements independently.
Sourcing
IBYG has extensive supplier networks, a keen eye for quality and vast experience in negotiating best deals on your behalf. Our sourcing service will procure the many and varied components required to bring your garden design to life – from appliances to furniture, soft furnishings and lighting, play equipment and anything in between. It’s just another way IBYG makes the entire garden design and build process simpler for you.
Build
With 750 garden’s worth of build experience, our team will take your unique design and construct it with precision and efficiency. All the (boring, but) important stuff like site management, WHS, specialist teams, timelines and consultants that may be required are all handled by our team which creates efficiency and takes pressure off the client.
